Welcome to the Eigg history society website

Comunn Eachdraidh Eige is dedicated to the research, preservation and interpretation of the history of Eigg and its people.  In cooperation with the ISLE OF EIGG HERITAGE TRUST, it has been involved in a variety of projects to make this history accessible to all.

 The Pictish rider on our logo comes from the 8th century cross below. It is a rare instance of a hunting scene on a Pictish stone and indicates the importance of Eigg as a Pictish territory in the West coast of Scotland.
